Rizhao is located at the southern end of Shandong Peninsula along the middle part of China coastal line . It is close to Qingdao in the north ,neighbors Lianyungang in the south and faces Japan and Korea across the sea . The city of Rizhao covers an areas of 5310 square kilometers with the total population of more than 2.7million. Now Rizhao is a new rising port city along the coast of China , one of the 15 coastal cities designated by the Sate Council for major construction. With two ports connecting with the world and one railway linking Asia with Europe, Rizhao is also? the Eastern Bridgehead of the New Euro-Asia Continental Bridge. Rizhao has perfect conditions for developing port industry. The bays are broad and deep, never freeze or silt up, suitable for building up over 100 berths of various kinds, with a total capacity of 200 million tons, especially for building 150,000-300,000 ton class deep berths. Rizhao Port and Lanshan Port are the most convenient port for South Shandong Province, North Henan Province and South Shanxi Province. Both ports are equipped with special railway line and storage facilities.  Rizhao Seaside National Forest Park ： Rizhao is a good tourist and residential city . Wanpingkou Scenery Mount Jvxian is the biggest wild azalea base in China. There are over 30 varieties of azalea.
