Paper based and repetitive processes with multiple spreadhsheets and databases that required manual matching are now electronically aligned using barcodes. This has resulted in a reducation in lab errors by 85%, and allowed lab techniicans to save 12hrs of time per week. Overall this has allowed Henry Ford to shift nearly 3 full staff from the lab to the nursing floor for better patient care, all while improving patient safety through this type of solution.
