Unit 1 Countries Teaching aims Key words: her, his ,live, China, from, Canada, the U.S., Britain, Australia, India, France Key sentences:“Where are you from?”“I’m from … ”“Where’s he/she from?”“He’s /She’s from …”“Where do you live?”“I live in … ” Teaching difficults :Australia, America, Canada等单词的读音。 Ability aims:By these lessons, Ss can ask other`s nationality and domiciles. Period I-2 Lesson 1 I’m from Britain. Teaching aims: 1. Key words: China, from, Canada, America, Britain. 2. Key sentences:“Where are you from?”“I’m from…” 3. Ability aims :By these lessons, Ss can ask other`s nationality with the sentences pattern. 二、Teaching steps Step 1 Warm up(排座,点名,询问电话是否更改) 1. Greetings. Hello, everyone! 2. Free talk. Happy new year! How are you today? Did you have a good time for your holidays? I went to Beijing in my winter holiday, these are some pictures I`v taken . What do you do on winter holiday? Where did you go?(找几个学生起来说一说假期去了哪些地方,为下面做铺垫。) “Where did you go?I went to… ”引导学生用此句型回答。 3.Game:Have you ever been abroad? Read the countries. Then play a game拍苍蝇,两人一组,指的多的得到小贴画。 Step 2 Presentation 1. T: Look, this is our old friend Li Ming. T: Now I’m Li Ming. I’m from China.(板书句子“I’m from China.”)China is our country.多找几个同学起来读。对话框形式,不要规定角色。插入声音。 Show the word card and read the word together. “China”the letter “i”is pronounced / ai /. “from” the letter“o”is pronounced/?/. Read it in groups. 2. T: OK, class. I’m from China.Where are you from?板书 Then let Ss use “I’m from China.”to answer.替换国家练习。 Game:brain storm看时间,时间充足可做。快速说出国旗对应的国家,答对获得小贴画。往前移,练习国家 3. Read the new sentences together. 4. T: In this class, I’ll introduce some new friends to you. Watch the CD-Rom,let’s see “Who comes to China?” Check the answers: Jim,Mike,Danny,Mary. 在worksheet上与对应国家连线 5.
