AbstractAs a platform of art education, art museum exhibit various of art forms, pay attention to cutting-edge art information and outreach them; as a part of the art career?s chain, art musume not only sort out the art history, but also bear the responsibility of showing features art, propaganda art of thinking, and art shows, publishing and trade and other social responsibilityof art, to promote the development of art history; and as essential cultural facility in city, art museum and its personalized form of art has become a cultural business card of the city, and plays an important role in the citys culture brand-building,art museum has its own social meaning and aesthetic significance. In this background, art museum must respond to the concerns of society, and reflect in its form design. In this sense, exploration in form becames a very important part of contemporary art museum design, through this exploration to find a way to meet peoples expectations and psychological needs, and also meet the architects endless pursuit of artistic architectural form. Thus, the development of contemporary art museum followed the footsteps of the era, also very sensitive to the development of era. With the rapid development of contemporary society, the number of art museum also increase sharply and attracted wide attention, but the theory of art museum fall behind, the practical and the theory has a contrdiction should be solved.In this paper, history of contemporary art museum and the evolution of the formfactors for the development is an entry point, a large number of domestic art museum and abroad research to characterize and predict trends, in th is analysis step, besides architectural theory, I also use cross-reference subjects work, such as museology, museum science, design psychology and pedagogy museum as a theory foundation. Accroding to this, I proposed philosophy and technique in art museum morphology design, and establish my research framework.In Chapter III and IV
