       * The novel tells a story that an old man almost sixty years old went to sea and fish alone. The old fisherman spent 84 days but got nothing. And then he caught a giant marlin which even longer than his fishing boat. They put up a life-and-death struggle for two days. But at last, he did not carry the fish back to his house successfully. After encountering a group of sharks and a desperate struggle, the marlin only left a skeleton. As the old man said: A man can be destroyed but not defeated“, the man of iron can never defeated. Even he had already struggled against the agminate sharks, he still said to himself: He didnt beat you. Not the fish. The old man is alone, he is a passerby on the long road to success. But he is also not alone, because he have possessed of such unbreakable will . One could say that the old man is invincible! After reading this novel which was written by Hemingway, the famous writer of the States ,I think we should be unremitting when we do everything. Like the old man, we should not give up halfway when we meet difficulties. Only in this way, we can obtain greater success and victory！ *
