Along with information sharing and convenience ，information security issue is becoming more pro llúnent. The use of cryptographic techniques to com己at thegrowing security problems also made it gradually fell into a stretched positio n， for which people缸e forced to seek a newer and better way to ensure information security and reliability. 1n recent years，digitaI watermarking technology 泊s become a new solution to digital information security which gradualIy becomes a hotspot ofthe academic research and the business community.Firstly the thesis expatiates the background of the digital watermark and the present study status both domestic and 必road，introduces the basic principles systematically，analyzes the characteristic ，classification ，evaluation and application 缸ea ofthe digital watermark.Because ofthe digital watermarking technology is mainly used in protecting the image informations security，there ís a high requirement of invisibility and robustness to watermarking technology. The key technologies can be divided into watermark treatment and watermark hidden. Byanalyzing and comparing the ∞mmon watermarking technologies ，也is paper proposes animproved algorithm: 1n the watermark treatme埠， this article uses off-axis reference beam hologram to scramble watermark instead of the classíc Arnold scrambling method. The advantage of this method is irnproving the performance of the watermark security by selecting the parameters value and avoiding the Arnolds period feature. Then the article makes use of LSB principle broking high-Ievel watermark hologram down into low-level bitmap holograms.While the method of hidden watermark is processed by putting low-level bitmap holograms into the host image both in wavelet transform domain and the SVD.τhe simulation result shows: The improved watermarki
