Coal is the most reliable energy and makes up the main part of energy consuming in China. The coal industry meets international competition and has a tendency of internationalization. How to improve the international competitiveness of coal industry is the emergency problem faced the whole industry in China. China has the largest coal production and reservatio n in the world. Shanxi is on the top of the coal production and export in China so we can get a general idea of the international competitiveness of coal industry in China from the analysis of Shanxi coal industry. Shanxi is one of the most important coal-producing districts in China and even in the world.
