Ⅰ The analysis of the teaching material(分析教材)
The goal of the Go for it
“Go for it!” is revised based on the edition of 2003, which focuses on Task-Based Language Teaching, encouraging learning by doing. It provides step-by-step language support and clear models for learners to follow. The topics in it relate to students’ lives. Activities encourage learners to contribute their own ideas and feelings and to be active in class. The learning goals of each unit are explicit that help students to monitor their own learning. All the units in Go for it! are divided into SectionA which opens with a picture presenting the new function in a real world setting and Section B which introduces new vocabulary while recycling the language presented in SectionA.
Analysis of the position of the lesson(教学内容与教材的地位)
The topic of this unit is “Everyday activities”. This part is Unit 6 Section A (1a-2c).It’s the beginning of the Present Progressive Tense. It is around the topic 揥hat are you doing??In the textbook, there are many pictures. vIt can make the students be interested in English . It includes What questions,Yes/No questions and their answers. The teacher will set up a happy and relaxing environment and improve the students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. In the unit students learn to talk about what people are doing.
This lesson (1a-2c) is the first period of unit6, which is on listening and speaking. So if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make them learn the rest of the unit. As we know, language is, first and foremost, a vehicle of communication .So this lesson plays an important part in the English teaching.
3. Teaching aims(教学目标)
According to the new standard curriculum, the teaching aims are the following:
1). Knowledge objectives:
a)Learn?to?read?and?write?the?new?words and expressions.
?For?example:?newspaper, read a newspaper, soup, make soup, use, use a computer and so on
