T: (Show a picture of a doctor.) Look. He’s/She a doctor. Repeat. Doctor. Ss: Doctor. I Continue with the fire fighter and magician. l. Try to bring in several photos that show the same careers from different countries because the uniforms may by different. Using the book l. T: Let’s listen to the tape. I Hold up the book and point to the pictures. T: Let’s listen and repeat. Play the tape, pausing after each expression to have Ss repeat. Put the students into four groups and give them the roles of Gogo, the doctor, the fire fighter and Tony. Play the again, pausing after each sentence for each group to repeat its part. Encourage groups to add emotions and facial expressions. Vocabulary Getting ready Put picture cards 81-90 on the board, picture side up. T: Look at the picture cards. Say each word as you hold up the picture cards. T: Now listen and repeat. Hold up each picture card, word side up and have Ss repeat. Using the book T: Listen to the tape and have Ss repeated.
