Play the tape for A, them pause.
T: ( point to the four sentences.) Can you find the sentence?
Have Ss look for the sentence I’m a taxi driver. On the page.
T: Write A in the box.

Practice 2
Getting ready
Have Ss look at the questions on the page.
T: A. ( S1’s name), can you read the sentence? S1: What does she do?
Ask other Ss to read the other three questions.
Have all Ss practice reading aloud to themselves.
Using the book
Have Ss look at the pictures on the page.
T: Now look at A. What does she do?
Have one student answer. S1: She’s secretary.
Continue with the rest of the pictures.
Have Ss answer truthfully for D. Give Ss extra vocabulary if necessary.
Put Ss into pairs and have them practice the QA exchanges.
Song activity
Getting ready
Point to the pictures around the lyrics.
T: ( point to the office worker.) What does he do? Ss: He’s an office worker.
Repeat with the other pictures.
Using the book
Ask individual Ss to read the lyrics.
T: Let’s sing the song! Let’s listen to the tape first.
Play the tape and point to each word as it is sung.
