高 中 教 案 试讲人: 周 霜 试讲题目: SEFC Book1B Unit 16 Integrating Skills: Animal Experiment 试讲时间: 2011年11月 12 日 Part one: Analysis of the teaching material This unit is designed for students to practice their reading, writing and speaking abilities with the topic of animal experiments. Firstly, in the text it is very clear that there are two sides of people who are for or against animal experiments for various reasons. Then writing steps and advices are given to write an argumentative essay. After thinking and discussion, writing skills and steps of argumentative essay will be provided to students. Part Two: The teaching aims: I. The knowledge objectives: a) Students have to master the new words and phrases in this lesson. b) Students should understand the meaning of the reading material. c) Students learn about the argumentative essay and its writing skills. 2.2 The ability aims: a) Students learn how to analyze one thing from two opposite aspects. b) Students can write argumentative essays with words and phrases learned today. Next, I will introduce the important and difficult points of this unit. Part 3: The important points and the difficult points: In this lesson, the important points are the following: Students learn and use properly all the words and phrases in writing an argumentative essay. The concept and writing style of argumentative essay. And the difficult points are: Students really understand how to analyze things from two opposite aspects. Students acquire writing skills and processes for an argument. As is known to all, the modern education demands improvement of students’ ability. A good teaching method requires that teachers should have the leading effects. According to the analysis of the teaching material and the students’ learning background, I will adopt the following methods. Part 4: The teaching methods and aids: I’ll mainly use the discussion method for
