AbstractWith the development of embedded technology and Internet technology, a variety of embedded devices have penetrated into all aspects of peoples lives and work. Allowing embedded devices to access Internet, it can be used in areas such as industrial control, smart home, network video monitoring system and so on, which has brought a tremendous convenience to our life. At the same time, in areas of industrial control, real-time requirements are relatively high. In order to achieve this goal, this thesis designs server-side and client-side program to improve real-time data transmission. So the design of Embedded Web Server is very important.The main achievement of this thesis is to establish the system of temperature and humidity acquisition based on Embedded Web Server. The design uses a processor chip named S3C2440, and on this platform it transplants Bootloader, Linux kernel, makes the root file system. Ultimately, development environment of embedded system has been established. This thesis transplants Boa, and then uses CGI technology and Sqlite database to write application. Through the preparation of temperature and humidity sensor driver and application, the collected data can be displayed in the client. Taking account of applications such as industrial control which requires high real-time data transmission, this thesis uses WebSocket protocol to design program on the server side, and uses the Javascript to design program on the client. Eventually, it achieves the goal of the real-time display of acquisition data in the client. This is the innovation of this thesis.The success of the design is to achieve the basic function of the Embedded Web Server. And for some specific applications, this thesis elaborates on how to improve the real-time data transmission by using the WebSocket protocol.
