Research and Realization of Fingerprint Pre-processingAlgorithmAbstractWiththedevelopmentofthescienceandtechnology, fingerprint identificationtechnologyiswidelyusedinthefieldofidentityrecognitionandidentification.Fingerprintidentificationisconvenient,andhavehighefficiency,securityandreliability.Ithasalsobeenappliedinmanyfieldssuchasfinancialsecurity,dataencryption,andelectronicallybusinessandwillplayamoreandmoreimportantroleinourfuturelifenecessarily.However,duetothecomplexityanduncertaintyofthefingerprintidentification,therearestillmanyproblemstoberesolvedforfurtherimprovementofAFIS.Inthesystemoffingerprintidentification,fingerprintidentificationisusuallymadeupofthreesection:preprocessing,minutiaeextractionandminutiaematching.Amongthem,thepurpose of preprocessing is to decrease the noise of the images，fingerprint imagepreprocessingistheoneofthemostcriticalpart,whichhasprovidedpreconditionsfortheaccuracyofminutiaeextractionandmatching.Undernormalcircumstances ,fingerprintimagepreprocessingisdividedintofourparts:fingerprintimagesegmentation,enhancement,binarization,thinning.Inthispaper,allaspectsofpre-processingalgorithmhasbeenstudiedandmadetheappropriateimprovements.Accordingtothebasicprinciplesofthefingerprintrecognitiontechniques，thethesisdiscussedtheworkflowoftheauto-fingerprint-identificationsystem.Chancingthefingerprintimageusingthefollowingmethod:normalization，directionalimagecomputation,directionalfiltering（Gaborfiltering）,localself-adaptivebinarization,noiseeliminationandthinning.ThesegmentedmethodbasedonEPCDandClUDpossessesofhighaccuracyandadaptability.Intheprocessoffingerprintimage’senhancement,usingthecircularGaborfiltertoenhancethefingerprintimagecangetbetterimages.Basedonthetraditionalbinarizationalgorithm,usingoftheimproveddynamicadaptivebinarizationmethodtobinarythefingerprintimageafterfilter.Asforthefingerprintimagethinning，weproposearapidfingerprintimagethinningmethod based on OPTAto solve the contradiction between thinning qualityand thinningspee
