Adoption of information technology to improve the competitiveness of the company has become the consensus of most SMEs. With networking products and computer hardware prices continuing to drop, businesses begin to form their own network systems, in competition with their competitors from the industry. The purpose of this paper is the dissemination of the knowledge to set up Internet. From the basic knowledge of the network in combination with setting up a network in reality, this paper introduces the basic concepts, invention, development, institutions and protocols, as well as services provided by the Internet, in which network equipment, Integrated Cabling and network hardware equipment sharing are also covered. On this basis, this paper also analyzes basic internet network set-up activities, and the understanding of the senior network VPN access. Taking the example of connecting to Internet via ADSL, this paper describes the roles of access layer, assembling layer, the core layer in the process.
