Why and how do people read? Samples: 1. A manager is reading a contract to be signed with a foreign corporation in two days. 2. A house-wife lying in bed turns over the pages of the magazine Readers’ Digest. 3. A college student in a library gazes intently at a textbook, occasionally making notes.
