Multivariateanalysisshowedage,clinicalstage,axillarylymphnodemetastasisandtumorsizewereindependentprognosticfactorsinbreastcancer.ER-βwasnotanindependentprognosticfactorinbreastcancer.ConclusionsTherateofER-βpositiveinbreastcancerislowerthanthatofbreastadenosisandnormalbreasttissue,whichsuggeststheoccurrenceofbreastcancermay berelatedtothedeficiencyofER-β.TheexpressionofER-βiscorrelatedwithclinicalstageandhistologicalgrade,whichindicatesabetterprognosiswithexpressionof ER-β. ER-βispositivelycorrelatedER-α,whichsuggeststhepatientsofER-βpositivemay haveabetterresponsetotreatmentwithTAM.SurvivalanalysisshowtherearehigherOSandDFSinthepatientsofER-βpositivethanER-βnegative,whichsuggestER-βisagoodprognosticindicatorofbreastcancer.UnivariateanalysistooshowsER-βhas valueinevaluatingprognosisofbreastcancer.MultivariateanalysisshowsER-βwasnotanindependentprognosticfactor.ThestudyspeculatesthatonlydetectingtheexpressionofER-βstillcannotdeterminetheprognosisofthepatients.However,ifcombiningotherprognosticfactorsmaystillhavesomevalue.KEYWORDS:breastcancer,estrogen
