StudyonFeatures,Principles andStrategies of Chinese-EnglishTranslationofContracts--withtheTranslationofaCompany’sJointVenture ContractandSharePurchaseAgreementas anIllustrationABSTRACTInrecentyears,economicandtradecommunicationbetweenChinaandother partsoftheworldhasbecomeincreasinglyfrequent,leadingtoalargerdemandfor translatingvarious contracts.Thishugemarkethas broughtnotonlymore opportunitiesforbutalsounprecedentedchallengestotranslators.Aspartoflegal translation,contracts’translationisveryprofessionalanddiffersfromthetranslation ofothertypes.Atpresent,translatorswhospecializedincontracts’translationarenot manyenough,inaddition,sometranslatorsdonotunderstandhowtoapplyuseful translationprinciplesandstrategiestocontracts’translation,notalltranslationtexts achieveacertainstandard.Therefore,contracts’translationischosenforresearchin this project.Bytakingthetranslationofonecompany’sJointVentureContractandShare PurchaseAgreementasanexample,thisreportfocusesonfeatures,translation principlesandstrategiesofChinese-Englishtranslationofcontracts.Thisreportcan bedividedintofourparts.Inthefirstpart,abriefintroductionoflinguisticfeatures of contractsisgiven.Inthesecondpart,sometranslationprinciplesthat shouldbe followedintranslatingcontractsareintroducedwithsomeexampleschosenfromthe project.Inthethirdpart,somepracticaltranslationstrategiesandmethodsof translatingcontractsareputforwardwiththetranslationexperienceoftheauthor.In thefourthpart,valuesofresearchonChinese-Englishtranslationofcontractsare proposed.Becausethereportcoversalargenumberofexampleschosenfromthetwo contractsmentionedabove,thetranslationprinciplesandstrategiesconcludedare practicallyvaluabletotranslatorswhoareengagedinChinese-Englishtranslationof contracts.Key Words: Chinese-English Translation of Contracts; Features of Contracts; TranslationPrinciples;TranslationStrategies目录引言.......................................................................................................................................
