* * How does ThinApp work? VMware ThinApp is an agentless application virtualization solution that can be used in conjunction with other components of VMware View. ThinApp encapsulates each application and all components required for it to run in an isolated container from the OS and other applications. User specific configurations and changes are stored in their own unique sandbox (server, user’s PC, or USB stick) VMware ThinApp Reduces storage costs for VDI VMware ThinApp enables VDI Administrators to reuse VM templates because application and user specific configuration data can be stored and streamed from a central server (such as Web, Network Share). Storage costs are significantly reduced because in lieu of storing an individual application on the Virtual desktop for each user – a pool of users can leverage a single application without impacting the application or each other.
