AbstractThedevelopmentofWirelessSensorNetworkandtheriseofInternetofThingsmakeitpossiblethatmillionsofWSNnodesconnecttoInternetintheIPway.TheapplicationandthelargescalepopulizationofIPv6protocolwillalsoprovideIPaddressguaranteeandprotocolsupportforeachnodeofWirelessSensorNetworkconnectingtotheInternetwithadistinctiveIPv6address.ThereiswidespreadconcernandattentiononWirelessSensorNetworkbasedon6LoWPAN,whichisspurredaltogetherbythetechnologiesofWirelessSensorNetwork,InternetofThingsandIPv6protocol.Thereisprofoundnecessitytostrengthentherevelantresearchofthisfield,whichwillgreatlypromotetheprocessoftheWSNnodesofsensinglayeroftheInternetofThingsshiftingtowardsIP.AnditalsohastheprominentpracticalsignificancefortheAgeoftheInternetofThings,inwhicheverythingwillhaveitsownIPaddressandkeepbeingalwaysonline.Firstly,thekeytechnologiesofWSNbasedon6LoWPANareanalyzedandelaboratedsystematicallyinthisthesis,includingthenetworkstructureof6LoWPAN,adaptationlayer,routingandforwarding,andthemobilemanagement.Secondly,adesignproposalfor6LoWPANstackbasedonContikioperatingsystemisputforwardthroughtheincorporationandmodificationofexistingprotocolstacks.AndthenthecodeiswrittentoimplementtheprimaryfunctionsoftheadaptationlayeroftheWSNbasedon6LoWPAN.Throughthestackdesignedinthisthesis,theIPv6packetscanbetransmittedinthewirelesssensornetworksuccessfully.Attheendofthethesis,theappropriatehardwareandsoftwareplatformisselectedtotestthepartialfunctionsofthe6LoWPANstack.Meanwhile,theCoojasimulationenvironmentisadoptedtosimulatethewholeperformanceof6LoWPANnetwork.Itmainlyimplementssuchfunctionsaspacketfragmentationandreassembly,UDPpackettransition,environmentaldatacollectionandnetworktopologymonitoringonthepremisethatthe6LoWPANnetworkcanconnecttoIPv6networknormally.Intheprocessoftesting,thewholesystemcanworknormally.Throughthistest,itachievestheanticipatedobjectivesandresults,provingthecorrectnessofthetheoryandvalidatingtherationalityandfeasibilityofthe6LoWPANstackdesignedforWSNinthethesis.Keywords:WSN
