AbstractWith the vigorous development of Chinas hotel industry, particular after entering the WTO , the hotel industry have adopted large-scale application ofadvanced science and technology to improve their core competitiveness to win new competition points,therefore the hotel management information system has become the main priority. However, internal staff resist the technology strongly, especiallyin the circucumstances of organizational mandatory use. Even if they used as required,the effect was not very satisfactory. Being the technology end- users,the enterprise information technology representatives, the attitudes and behavior ofemployees towards information technology will determine the effective implementation of information systems , therefore affect the efficiency of theenterprises indirectly. Taking into account the important role of MIS in the customer services,the emploees’ follow- up / continued usage is crucial. The purpose of thisstudy is to analyze the staff continued usage of Hotel Management Information System (HMIS) in the mandatory environment and the influential factors.This study first attemps to combine the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM)and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) on the basis of the Expectation Confirmation Model(ECM) , with the existing literature , in order to build a preliminary theoretical model. The model is then tested via the questionnaires andstaff interviews from seven high-star hotels within Fujian Province. The conclusions are as follows:Hotel employees’ recognition of perceived usefulness of HMIS is thehighest,with the perceived ease of use ranking the second, the sub jective norm the third, while the satisfaction gets the lowest score followed by the continunce intention, recognition and the perceived behavioral control.Resort indicates that users’ continuance intention towards HMIS usage is significantly different with the specific social characteristics, such as the Personnel
