AbstractAsanimportantbranchofthestudyoflinguistics,Pragmaticsstudies“languageinuse”andverbalcommunicationincontext.Cross-CulturalPragmaticsistostudythecommunicationsofpeoplefromdifferentculturalbackgrounds,andalsoitanalyzesthepragmaticproblemsarisingfrominterculturalcommunicationwhenasecondlanguageisused.Contextisacentraltopicofpragmatics,outofvariousinterest,scholarshavemadegreatcontributionstothestudyofcontext.Staticstudyaboutcontextcannotilluminatethedynamicprocessofcommunication,sotherewasaturntostudycontextdynamically.Dynamiccontextholdsthatcontextisgeneratedintheprocessofverbalcommunication,whichisalsotheprocessoftheconstructionofcontext.ThispapertendstoprobeintotheadaptabilityandconstructionofinterculturalcommunicationcontextfromtheperspectiveofCross-CulturalPragmatics.Itisgenerallyacceptedthatinpragmatics,contextisstudiedfromthreeaspects,whichareadaptingtotheexistingcontext,usingtheexistingcontextandconstructinganewcontext.Adaptingtocontextisthebasiclevelinpragmatics.Makinguseofthecontextandconstructinganewcontextaretheconsciousactivitiesofthecommunicators.Constructingacontextissignificantinmanipulatingcommunicationprocessandcreatingproperfactorstorealizethecommunicativepurpose.Ininterculturalcommunication,contextplaysavitalroleintheinterpretationofverbalcommunication.Withthedevelopmentofinterculturalcommunication,moreandmoreproblemsoccurininterculturalcommunication.Communicatorsmustconstructapropercontexttoachievesuccessfulinterculturalcommunication.Verschueren’sadaptationtheoryhasprovidedanewfieldforthestudyofcontextandlanguageinuse.Itgivesadetailedelaborationonthedynamicmeaninggenerationandadaptationinvariouscontexts.Thisthesisdividescontextintolinguisticcontext,communicativecontextandculturalcontextandanalyzestheadaptabilityofcontextelementsincommunicationactivitieswiththeconsiderationoftherestraintandexplanationofculture.Verbalcommunicationispervasive,andlinguisticcontextcarriesalotofculturalfactorsincommunicationactivities.Communicativecontextisoneofth
