AbstractRadarisacomplicatedelectronicequipment,thatcanobtainthetargetechosignaltodetectthetargetbyelectromagneticradiationintotheair.Radarisusedwidelyandhavemanydifferenttypes,warningradarasthemainobjectofstudyinthepaper.Inthehigh-techmodernwarfare,electronicenvironmentiscomplex,blowstrengthisverybigandtargetistargeted.Radaras“clairvoyance”inmodernwarfareisthefirsttobearthebrunt,oncefailureoccurs,thatwillbringdisastrousconsequencesifthemaintenanceisnottimely.Radarequipmentisusedgenerallybythegrass-rootsunits.Radarmaintenanceisoftenaffectedbythemaintenancestaff’scapacityanddetectionequipments.Radartechniciantrainingcycleislong,onceradarfailure,duetolackoftechnicalpersonnelwiththenecessarytraining,coupledwiththelackoftestingequipment,itisdifficulttotroubleshootinashorttime.Efficiencyoftraditionalmethodoffaultdiagnosisislow,time-consuming,andsometimesfaultnotonlycan’tbedischarged,butalsobringotherfaults,expandingthescopeoffailure.Inmodernwarfare,combatisfast-paced,radarrequirestheabilityofquicklyrepair,troubleshootthefaultandimprovingtheavailabilityoftheradar.Itisnecessarytochangethetraditionalfaultdiagnosismethod,usingintelligentfaultdiagnosismethodcandiagnosefaultstimelyandefficientmannerandensurethatcombatmissionsiscompletedwell.Thispapermainlydothefollowingwork:（1）Thispaperstudytheworkingprincipleofradar,andthestructureoftheradarandtheradarfunctionsandcharacteristicsofeachsystem,sothatlaidthefoundationforlaterresearchonradarfaultdiagnosis.Onthisbasis,thepaperstudysradartestpointselectionbasedonFMECA(FailureMode,EffectsandCriticalityAnalysis)andFTA(FaultTreeAnalysis),andanexampleofradartransmitterblockdiagramforanalysis.（2）Forthehierarchicalstructureoftheradarsystem,athree-levelfaultdiagnosissystemofradarisestablished.Thepaperadoptdiagnosticexpertsystembasedonfaulttreeinthesystemleveldiagnosis,usealargenumberofexpertexperienceandknowledge.Combinedwiththetreestructureofradar,itiseasytolocatefaultinwhichtheradarsystemmalfunctions.Ontheboarddiagnosissystem,thepaperadop
