AbstractStudyonEquilibriainquinarysystemLi+,K+,Mg2+//SO42-,B4O72--H2Oat288KIntroductionoftheauthor:xiaolongjun,male,wasborninMay,1984,whosetutorwasProfessorSangShihua.HegraduatedfromChengduUniversityofTechnologyinChemistryofMineralResourcesmajorandwasgrantedtheMasterDegreeinJune,2010.AbstractPhaseequilibriaofreciprocalquinarysystemLi+,K+,Mg2+//SO42-,B4O72--H2Oandthreequaternarysystems(twosimplequaternarysystemsLi+,K+,Mg2+//B4O72--H2OandLi+,Na+,K+//SO42--H2O;onereciprocalquaternarysystemLi+,K+//SO42-,B4O72--H2O)at288Kwerestudiedbyisothermalsolutionequilibriummethod.Solubilitiesanddensitiesinthesolutionofabovelistedweredeterminedexperimentally.Accordingtotheexperimentaldata,theequilibriumphasediagramsanddensity-compositiondiagramsofthequaternarysystemswereplotted.Thephasediagram,correspondingwatercontentdiagramandcorrespondingMg2+contentdiagramofthequinarysystemat288K(saturatedwithMgB4O7·9H2O)werealsoplotted.ThesimplequaternarysystemLi+,K+,Mg2+//B4O72--H2Owassimpleeutectictypeandnodoublesaltorsolidsolutionwasfound.Inthephasediagram,thequaternarysystemhasoneinvariantpoint,threeunivariantcurves,andthreefieldsofcrystallizationLi2B4O7·3H2O,K2B4O7·4H2OandMgB4O7·9H2O.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatK2B4O7·4H2Ohadstrongsalting-outeffectonLi2B4O7·3H2O.ThedoublesaltKLiSO4wasfoundinthereciprocalquaternarysystemLi+,K+//SO42-,B4O72--H2Oat288K.Thequaternarysystemhasthreeinvariantpoints,sevenunivariantcurves,fivefieldsofcrystallizationLi2B4O7·3H2O,Li2SO4·H2O,K2B4O7·4H2O,K2SO4andKLiSO4.TheexperimentalresultsshowthatLi2SO4·H2Ohadstrongsalting-outeffectonothersalts.ThedoublesaltK3Na(SO4)2,Na3Li(SO4)2·6H2O,KLiSO4andthetriplesaltLi2NaK(SO4)2werefoundinthereciprocalquaternarysystemLi+,K+,Na+//SO42--H2Oat288K.Thequaternarysystemhassixinvariantpoints,twelveunivariantcurves,sevenfieldsofcrystallizationK2SO4,KLiSO4,K3Na(SO4)2,Na3Li(SO4)2·6H2O,Na2SO4·10H2O,Li2SO4·H2OandLi2NaK(SO4)2.ThedoublesaltK2SO4·MgSO4·6H2OandKLiSO4werefoundinthereciprocal2-2-quinarysystemLi+,K+,Mg2+//SO4,B4O7-H2Oat288K.The
