AbstractLow-DensityParity-Check(LDPC)codesareaclassofcapacityapproachingerror-correctingcodes.Byusinglowcomplexitysum-productalgorithm,LDPCcodescangetnearShannonlimitdecodingperformancewithalmostallerrorsdetectable.DuetotheadvantagesofLDPCcodes,suchaslowcomplexityofdecodingandstrongerror-detectioncapacity,theirapplicationsinreliablecommunicationshavereceivedgreatinterestsinrecentyearsandhavebecomeoneofmostattractivefieldinchannelcodingfield.ErrorfloorisanimportantissueinthetheoryofLDPCcodesandthestudyofiterativedecodingalgorithms.ItischaracterizedbytheerrorrateinhighSNRregionsuddenlydropsataratemuchslowerthanthatintheregionofmoderateSNR.Inthisdissertation,errorfloorsofLDPCcodeandaniterativedecodingalgorithmwithbacktrackingareinvestigated.Mainworksaresummarizedasfollows:TheoryofLDPCcodesanditsconstructmethodsarebrieflyilluminated,andintroductionstothemessagepassingalgorithmofdifferentchannelsaregiven.ErrorfloorisstudiedbasedonsomepropertiesoftheapplicationinLDPCcodes,andaparticularstructureinthecodes’Tannergraphsknownastrappingsetsisexplained,whichpreventsdecodingfromconvergingtothecorrectcodeword.Ahybridmethod,whichcombinescodeconstructionanditerativedecodingtocombattheerror-floorproblem,isproposed.Inthestageofcodeconstruction,analgorithmtoimprovetheminimumdistanceofcodesbyeliminatingdistancesetsisproposed.Andinthestageofdecoding,amodifiedtwo-stageBP(TS-BP)algorithmisproposed,thedecodingperformanceofthemethodcanapproachtheunionperformanceboundcalculatedbythedistributionofthelowweightcodewords.Atechniquetobreaktrappingsetswhiledecodingisthoroughlyanalyzed.Basedondecodingresultsleadingtoadecodingfailure,somebitsareidentifiedinapreviousiterationandflippedanddecodingisrestarted.Thisbacktrackingmayenablethedecodertogetoutofthetrappedstate.Thetechniqueisapplicabletoanycodewithoutrequiringapriorknowledgeofthestructureofitstrappingsets.Keywords:Low-DensityParity-Check(LDPC)CodesMessagePassingDecodingErrorfloorTrappingSetDistanceSet目录第一章绪论....................................
