You are advised to lead in by talking about a teenager. Then help students with their reading of HEROIC TEENAGER RECEIVES AWARD. Translation of the text into Chinese is proposed.

Warming up by talking about John Janson.

2. Reading
Step 1 Skimming the newspaper article
1.Read the headline:What is the story about?
2. Read the first paragraph and fill in the chart.
