摘要鄂北的随州和孝感地区因社会文化、地理位置、地貌特点等因素在历史时期修建了大量的戍防型聚落，其构成了该区域乡村聚落中的一种重要类型。其中，家族卫戍型聚落又是戍防型聚落中的一种重要类型，它对该地区聚落的发展史和民居研究具有重要意义。目前，在随州和孝感以及周边地区还存在着相当一部分家族卫戍型聚落，相对于其他戍防型聚落，保存相对较多、状况较好，但是随着目前乡村的无序发展和城市化进程的加快，它们正遭受着严重的破坏。因此，对该地区家族卫戍型聚落的调查和研究便显得尤为重要。本文以随州和孝感地区的家族卫戍型聚落为研究对象，去发掘其内涵和地域民居特色，主要包括以下几部分内容：第一部分是对戍防型聚落进行综述，并对随州和孝感地区的家族卫戍型聚落的相关背景和形成原因进行分析。第二部分是选取了三个典型的案例，分别从聚落、民居建筑和防御空间三个层面去深入分析该地区的家族卫戍型聚落的民居特色和防御特征，并进行总结。第三部分首先指出具有强烈且明显的防御性特征是家族卫戍型聚落与普通聚落的最大区别。结合调研的大量该地区的家族卫戍型聚落实例对其防御性特征进行分析总结，发掘该地区家族卫戍型聚落的内涵。最后一部分是本次研究的总结和展望。关键词：随州和孝感地区家族卫戍型聚落防御特征民居特色AbstractIntheNorthernHubeiofSuizhouandXiaoganbecauseoffactorssuchassocialculture,geography,physiognomycharacteristicsinthehistoricalperiodtobuildalargenumberofgarrisonedtypesettlements,whichconstitutedanimportanttypeofruralsettlement.Amongthem,thefamilytypedefendingsettlementsareoneoftheimportanttypesofgarrisonedinsettlementinthearea,itisofgreatsignificanceonthehistoryofsettlementandresidentialresearchintheregion.CurrentlyinSuizhou,Xiaoganandsurroundingareas,therearequiteanumberoffamilytypedefendingsettlements,comparedtoothergarrisonedtypesettlements,saverelativelymore,ingoodcondition,butasthedisorderofcurrentruraldevelopmentandurbanizationprocessspeedingup,theyaresufferingfromseriousdamage.Therefore,theinvestigationandresearchonthefamilytypedefendingsettlementsintheareabecomeveryimportant.ThispapertakesthefamilytypedefendingsettlementsinSuizhouandXiaoganregionsastheresearchobject,toexploreitsconnotationandregionalresidentialcharacteristics,mainlyincludesthefollowingparts:Thefirstpartistosummarizethegarrisonedtypesettlements,andtoanalysistherelevantbackgroundandcausesoffamilytypedefendingsettlementsinSuizhouandXiaoganregions.Thesecondpartselectthreetypicalcases,respectivelyfromthreeaspectsofsettlement,residentialbuildingsanddefensiblespacetoanalysistheresidentialcharacteristicsanddefensefeaturesoffamilytypedefendingsettlementsintheareain-depth,andsummarize.Thethirdpartfirstpointsoutthatthestrongandobviousdefensivecharacteristicsisthebiggestdif
