Discuss several types of multimedia output equipment. 4.1 Output Devices Output equipment allows people to communicate with computers. Output devices convert the processed 0s and 1s back into a form understandable to humans. Output devices produce results in either hard-copy or soft-copy form. 4.2 Monitors A monitor is the most common form of output device. To create the colors, three phosphor coatings for the primary colors red, green and blue are provided. 4.2 Monitors An important characteristic of all screens is their resolution. Each point of light on the screen is called a pixel. The resolution of a screen is the maximum number of pixels that the screen can display.
