AbstractForeignscholarshadbeguntostudyinfluencefactorsofexecutivecompensationfromthe1920s.Formanyyears,scholarshaveneverstoppedthisresearch,eventothisday,theyexpandtheextensionofthestudyoutwardscontinuously.Whyistheresucharesult?Firstly,executivecompensationisanimportantpartofthecompanyswholecompensationsystem,anditsscientificalnessandrationalitydirectlyaffectthefairnessandoperabilityofthecompensationsystem,anditalsoserveasaguideforordinarystaffcompensationsystematthesametime.Secondly,withthecontinuousdevelopmentofeconomicglobalization,enterprisesarefacedwiththecomplexandvolatilebusinessenvironment,thequalificationrequirementsandmanagementabilitiesoftheexecutivemustbegreatlyimproved,andfollowingtheoldexecutivecompensationsystemcantmeettheever-changingenvironment.Thirdly,eventhoughthestudyofinfluencingfactorsofexecutivecompensationhasyieldedfruitfulresults,manyresearchersusedifferentapproachesandcometodifferentconclusions.Inshort,thestudyofinfluencingfactorsofexecutivecompensationisinthewayofcontinuousexploration,andinthenextperiodoftime,theresearchmaybestillintheblowoutstate.ThestudyofinfluencingfactorsofexecutivecompensationoflistedcompaniesinChina’sSMEboardhascertainrepresentativeness.Firstly,theformulationandimplementationofexecutivecompensationsysteminlistedcompaniesinChina’sSMEboardaremoreflexible,sotheconclusionofthestudyismorepracticalsignificance.Secondly,listedcompanieshavemorefinancialcapacitiesandopportunitiestoprovideprotectionfortheformulateandimprovementofexecutivecompensationsystemcomparedtonon-listedcompanies.ThelistedcompaniesinChina’sSMEboardcanbeusedasaperfectmodelforstudyoftheinfluencingfactorsofexecutivecompensation.Scholarscometodifferencesconclusionsbyusingdifferentmethodsintheexistingresearch.Someresearcherschosequalitativeresearch,suchasinterviews,theDelphiMethod;someresearchersusequantitativeresearchmethods,suchasquestionnaires,researchingoncross-sectionaldata.Thequantitativeresearchismorescientificandpersuasive.Themajorityofexistingstudies
