ABSTRACTTheInternetintegrateswithourlifemoreandmoredeeply,thegeneratedinformationgoesbeyondthecapabilitiespeopledealwithandtakeadvantageofit,sorecommendationsystemsgetmoreandmoreattentions.Amongallkindsofrecommendationsystems,collaborativefilteringrecommendationsystemismostwidelyused.Buttheexistingcollaborativefilteringalgorithmcannotfitmostusers’needs,soresearchersthinkaboutminingusers’intereststogiverecommendationresultswhichfitmostusers’interests.Usuallytheyclustertheuserswhohavethesameinterestintoonecluster.Thenthetargetuserreferusers’scoresonitemswhoareinthesameclusterwithhim,atlastthetargetusergethisprobablymarksonitems.Althoughthemethodaboveconcernuser’sinterest,itseesuserasawhole.Inreality,theremayhavemarksofitemscomefromdifferentcirclesandusersmayconcerndifferentinterestcirclesindifferenttimeslots.Basedonthisobservationwebuildinterestcirclesasclusters.Ifauserisattractedbyanitemofacluster,hemayalsointerestwithanotheriteminthesamecluster.Soinsteadofclusteringusersbasedontheirinterest,therecommendationsysteminthisthesisfirstgetssomeinterestrecordsthatmostusermayhaveinterestinfromrawuserscores,thencomputethecentroidofeachinterestcircletorepresenteachinterestcircle,thengetusersinterestlevelofeachinterestcirclebasedonrecentscoresandthesimilaritytoeachinterestcircle,intheendgetrecommendationresult.Inordertogetthecentroidsofinterestcircles,somestepsareneedtotransformrawuseroperationrecordstoscoreswhichmorefitclusteralgorithm.Firstly,useroperationtypesinrawrecordsareneededtobeconvertedtoscoreonitems.Thenthescoresofthesameuseronthesameiteminthesamedayneedbemergedbyaddingthemup,thisprocedurereducetheamountofdataandwouldreducethecomplexityofsubsequentoperation.Thenthescoresofoneuserincontinuoustimeslotaredividedintooneinterestcirclerecordbasedonuseroperationtime,andcombinealltherecordsofthesameiteminthisinterestcircle.Atlast,allthescoresofitemsinthesameinterestcirclearetransformedtoarecordofinterestcircle.Next,clusteringalgorithmisneededtoclusteroninterestcirclerecords
