Without strainers the cavity of the disc brakes could be blocked with debris. 5.1.1.3 Major Provide maintenance report for all work carried out on the drawworks during refurbishment. 5.1.1.3 Minor Replace the two pressure gauges on the gearboxes. Disk Brake (Universal) Recommendations: 5.1.2.1.1 Critical Dismantle all brake callipers and service as per manufactures specification. Clean brake disc for all grease and dirt. Verify brake disc is not under size (worn) 5.1.2.1.2 Critical Verify with manufacturer maximum duration of service for the safety callipers. The spring may have to be changed after 6 years in service. Some manufactures recommend 12 monthly change out 5.1.2.1.3 Critical Verify correct pre-charge in the HPU accumulator bottles. 5.1.2.1.4 Major Repair all hydraulic leaks and replace old hydraulic hoses. 5.1.2.1.5 Major Provide maintenance report for the disc brakes Swivel Recommendations: 5.4.1.1 Critical Verify that the threaded connection of the swivel has been inspected for cracks and that the rig has a valid inspection report available. API RP 8B Table 1 5.4.1.2 Critical Verify that the swivel yoke has undergone the required NDT inspection for cracks as per API RP 8B. Valid inspection reports must be on file at the rig site. Travelling Block Recommendations: 5.8.1.1 Critical Install suitable pad eye under the crown block with SWL capable of hanging the travelling block and hook.
