There are three chapters in this dissertation: introduction of network, configuration of the network device and application. Besides these, this dissertation also contains a practical design of a network, which includes the design of topology, configuration of IP address, cable test, connection and configuration of network device and test of this network. In this practical case all the common problems are elucidated. This will rebound to the graduates to apply their knowledge in practical work. This dissertation focuses on the configuration of switch, router and server, covering the theory and application of network. It can be a reference for a learner of network. Furthermore, this dissertation provides some useful knowledge and methods in application. The brief theory of transformation of medium of digital communication is introduced by the application of Premises Distributed System. The dissertation also illuminates the techniques of the set-up of Premises Distributed System, project management, network testing, project inspection and network maintenance based on the international and national standard respectively. The graduate will have a vivid concept of Premises Distributed System and improve the ability of application.
