Brand Classification Improvement In order to allow our users to identify advertisements of Events organized or sponsored by Bank more easily, we have modified our rules as follow:- Assign an event name for all Events organized by Bank Previous Rule: Previously, an individual event name was assigned only to annual events. Other events will be classified under “Event Sponsorship Compliments” in the category of “Banking Investment Services”. New Rule: From 1 Jul 2010, an individual event name would be assigned to all events organized, co-organized or title sponsored by Bank. If the event is organized or co-organized by the Bank, the advertisement would be classified into a category according to the event nature. Please note that, if the advertiser is only a “sponsor” of an event, we would still classify it under “Event Sponsorship Compliments” in the category of “Banking Investment Services”. Example 1: Events promoted by Bank Sponsor For events promoted by a Bank Sponsor, in which its layout contains the Bank’s corporate frame, we would assign 100% spending to the Bank and the brand would be the name of the event. For advertorials, we would assign 100% spending to the Bank if its main headline is in the Bank’s corporate color. We are now backdating our records since 2000 and it may affect the adspend figures of some of the banks. This task is target to be accomplished by 31 July 2010.
