初中英语课堂中创设口语交际情境的实践和反思
【摘要】:本文通过课堂教学活动,结合新课标的精神和相关理论,对当前初中英语课堂中教师如何通过创设口语交际情境,培养学生的英语语言实际运用能力进行实践和反思,并提出了几条有效途径。

培养学生英语综合语言运用能力,是基础教育阶段英语课程的目标。过去的英语教育过分重视语法和词汇知识的讲解和传授,忽视对学生实际语言运用能力的培养。长期的应试教育,使学生重“写”而轻“说”,在多种交际活动中,或不善沟通,或不够文明,或缺少合作。这极不适应当代社会的发展需要。因此,我们的英语教学必须把发展学生的综合语言运用能力作为一个重要内容,努力营造运用英语语言的氛围,倡导体验,实践,参与,合作与交流的学习方式和任务型的教学途径,多给学生提供运用英语语言的实践机会,让学生形成积极的情感态度,主动思维和大胆实践,从而提高英语语言实际运用能力。
创设口语交际情境的教学实践
设置辩题,让学生在辩论中提高英语语言运用能力
如何创设情境,让学生们在语言实践中提升口语的交际能力,这是许多英语老师一直在思考的问题。笔者认为,教师可以在课堂学习中设置能激发学生辩趣的辩题,营造良好的口语交际氛围。例如,在教学BookIILesson83时,笔者是这样设计教学过程的:
(1)铺设问题
①Teacher shows pictures of two men and say : “Here are two pictures about two men, Mr More and Mr Little. Please describe these two men according to their appearance in the picture.”
S1: Mr More is fat, so I think he is rich.
S2: Mr More is old, and he can’t walk well.
S3: From the picture we can see Mr More is not very happy.
S4: Mr Little is thin, he may be tall.
S5: Mr Little is kind, so he has many friends.
S6: Mr Little is talking to his friends with a smile in his face, so he is very happy.
②Play the tape, and judge what kind of persons they really are.
③Ss comment on Mr More and Mr Little.
④Ask Ss to act Mr More and Mr Little and tell others which of these two persons they’d like to be, Mr More or Mr Little , and show the reasons. The students who want to be Mr More may think that money can bring them happiness, while the others disagree with them.
(2)引导辩论
①Divide the whole class into two . Half thinks that money can brings happiness. But the others disagree. Each of them should give out their reasons.
②Students who agree on the view (Money can buy happiness ) may answer.:
Money can buy what I like and what I want. It makes me very happy.
If I have a lot of money, I can go to visit different countries in the world. I will feel very happy.
I can buy a big house for both my parents and me, the whole family will feel happy.
I can give away money to support some poor children, I can also
