江西理工大学 廖艳霞The Play between Presence and Absence and the Cognitive Construction of a Dual Context in Interpreting Process【摘要】 基于当代认知语言学关于概念范畴的理论阐述,提出口译双重语境认知构建的连通原则,并以2010年3月温总理在记者招待会上所使用的三句古训口译为例,考察口译语境的认知构建过程。口译双重语境主要涉及在场概念与不在场概念,口译语境认知构建就是由这两个概念共同构建的概念系统,其中各类语境知识作为概念成分的集合分别归属在场和不在场概念,在场概念位于范畴中心,相对封闭,主要包括语言、技术和情景等框架;不在场概念离中心较远,相对开放,主要包括社会文化、情感和趋势等框架。口译活动中,在场概念与不在场概念通过成分激活而相互连通,形成一个开放性口译语境互动网络,依凭推理和概括,二者相互影响、相融相通,经过概念呼应、情感协商和意义传承等认知运作,影响理解、记忆与重构等基本口译程序,有力推动口译思维的整体进程。 【Abstract】 Within a conceptual category-centered cognitive linguistic framework, this article discusses the principle of connection underlying the dual context in interpreting process. Taking for an example the interpretation of ancient Chinese maxims quoted by Premier Wen Jiabao at his March 2010 press conference, the paper finds in the dual context constructed in the process of interpreting a conceptual system capable of being analyzed into two categories, i.e., the present and the absent. Situated at the center of the system, the present consists of the linguistic frame, the technical frame and the situational frame. The absent, on the other hand, is located at the periphery and includes the socio-cultural frame, the affective frame and the frame of tendency. In the process of interpreting, presence and absence are connected with each other in an open interactive network, through such mechanisms as concept correspondence, affection negotiation and meaning inheritance.
