Steps 1:Warming up
Greetings.
Step 2:Pre-task
Show the title; Unit 6 How long have you been colleting shells?
Show students some things. Talk about what they are. Then learn the new words.
Step 3: While-task
Talk about students’ hobbies: What are your hobbies?
Do 1a:
Talk about the pictures: What are these in Picture 1?
What things do you have?
What things would you like to collect?
Write down them in the chart.
Then call some students to read their lists.
Practice in pairs: What do you collect? Why?
What would you like to collect? Why?
4. Do 2a.
Listen and fill in “What”:
Play twice. The first time students only listen. The second time listen carefully and fill in the chart. Then call students to say their answers.
5. Do 2b.
Listen and fill in “How long” and “How many”.
Call students to answers on blackboard.
6. Interviewer game:
Four students are in a team: One acts the reporter. Others answer his or her questions on blackboard.
7. Match:
Call some students to stand in front of others. Give them some pictures.
