AbstractToday,amongthedevelopmentofhydropowerutilities,pumpedstorageisoneofthemaindevelopmentdirection,pumpedstorageunitsnotonlyhavetwofeatures--capacityandstorage,butalsohavetheirotherowneffects,suchaspeakadjustingandvalleyfilling,frequencyandphasemodulation,emergencyreserveandblackstart,whichcaneffectivelyensurepowersystemrunningstably,safelyandfrugally,andalreadyhasanirreplaceableroleinmodernpowerproductionbusiness.Thoughtheconstructionofpumpedstoragepowerstationinourcountrystartedlate,butasaresultofthestudiesabroadhasbeenrelativelymature,pumpedstoragetechnologyalreadyhasagooddevelopment,therefore,forourcountry,thestartingpointfortheconstructionofpumpedstorageishigher,andinrecentyears,theconstructiontechnologyofseverallargepumpedstoragepowerstationalreadyhasaveryhighlevelintheworld.However,withthedevelopmentoftechnology,theunitcapacity,theunitparameters,etc.arebecomingmoreandmorelarge-scaleandcomplex,butinthecourseofoperation,ithassomecharacteristics,suchasstartandstopfrequently,ithasthephenomenonoftwo-wayflowofwaterinthepressurewaterpipe,waterheadawiderangeofconversion,unitswheelscanreverserotation,andsoon,determinethecomplexityofitstransitionprocess,therefore,thestudiesoftransitionprocessforpumpedstorageunitshasavitalsignificancetoguaranteethesafeandstableoperationofpumpedstoragepowerstation.Inthecalculationofthetransitionprocessanalysis,oneofthemostimportantaspectsistheprocessofthecharacteristiccurve,tointerpolateonthecharacteristiccurveofpumpedstorageunitscanhelptosolvethetemporalparameters.Whichisdifferentfromtheconventionalturbinecharacteristiccurve,thereisaseriousinvertedStypeinthecharacteristiccurveofpumpedstorageunits,changesinunitspeedintheinvertedStypeareawillcausemoreseverechangesinflowortorque,italsobringslargerdifficulttothecurveinterpolation,soweneedtoprocessthecharacteristiccurve.Inthispaper,anumberofdifferentmethodsincludingthelogarithmiccurveprojectionandBPneuralnetworkareusedtoprocessthecharacteristiccurveofthewholeprocess,inordertoimprovethede
