AbstractTheA2Nprocess,basedondenitrifyingphosphorusremoval,isefficientintreatingthedomesticwastewaterwithlowC/Nratio,andissuitableforupgradingoftheexistingwastewatertreatmentplants.TheA2N/BAFprocesshadbeenresearchedfromlab-scaleandpilot-scaletodemonstrationproject.Itwasprovedtobesuitablefortheconstructionofnewwastewatertreatmentplant.Inthisdissertation,theoptimizationofrefluxofthebackwashingsludgeoftheprimaryBAFandonlinecontrolofBAFaerationwerestudied.ThefiberfillerwasselectedtosubstitutetheBAFasthenitrificationunitofA2NaimingattheshortagesofBAF,whichwasnotfitfortheupgradeofthebuiltsewageplant,andtheoperationparameterswereoptimized.Finally,thetreatmentefficiencyofA2N/fiberprocessandA2Oprocesswerecompared.TherefluxprogramofthebackwashingsludgeoftheprimaryBAFinA2N/BAFprocesswasopimizated.Resultsshowedthat:thebackwashingsludgewasmorefavorabletorecycletotheanoxictank.Thebackwashingsludgehadstrongabsorptioncapacity.Theamountofphosphorusuptakewas18mg/Lafter2h.OnlinecontrolofBAFaerationexperimentshowedthat:intheprimaryBAF，theDOprobeshouldbeinstalledattheheightof1.0-1.5mofthefiltermedia,andwhenNH4+-Nconcentrationofrawwaterwasbelow40mg/L(influentNH4+-NconcentrationoftheprimaryBAFwasbelow29mg/L)andthevalueoftheDOprobedevicewasabove5.2mg/L,theeffluentNH4+-Nlessthan5mg/Lcouldbeensured.IntheseconderyBAF,theDOprobeshouldbeinstalledattheheightabove1.2mofthefiltermedia,thevalueoftheDOprobedevicewasabove6.0mg/L,theeffluentNH4+-Ncouldbeensured.A2N/fiberprocessoptimizationshowedthatbiofilmformationofthefiberfillercouldbeachievedwithin5dandappropriaterecycleratioofsludgeinsecondarysettlingchamberandratioofsurpasssludgewereboth0.25.ThetreatmentperformanceofA2NprocessandA2Oprocesswerecompared.ResultsshowedthatCODandammoniaoftheA2Oprocess,couldberemovedeffectively,while,TNandTPremovalswerepoor.Itwasduetothedeficiencyofcarbonsource.AsfortheA2Nprocess,theremovalsofCOD,ammonia,TNandTPwere82%,97%,70%and98%,respectively,andthefirst-Astandardcouldbeachieved.Theuptakesofphosphorusintheanoxicanda
