How to improve the effect of BIM has become the research focus in the construction industry. In this paper, BIM was studied as a kind of knowledge innovation from the perspective of absorptive capacity. There are five factors that influent our country construction enterprise technology innovation performance. They are organizational learning, absorptive capacity, enterprise scale, enterprise property and business property. The concept model on the impact of absorptive capacity for BIM by Structual Equation Model (SEM) was built based on the research hypothesis. The assumptions and model by SPSS and Amos was tested to draw a correlation between each dimension of absorptive capacity and its relationship with BIM, and to put some beneficial suggestions about the application of BIM innovation in construction enterprise in our country. Absorptive capacity, organizational learning and BIM performance were investigated through the questionnaire survey aiming at construction enterprise (e. g. prospective design and construction general contract enterprise) to get the sample data. The result of hypothesis test and model fitting show the influence between each variable. Identification, acquisition, digestion and exploration influent each other and knowledge digestion influent knowledge clearing; absorptive capacity is consist of this five dimension. Identification, digestion, exploration and clearing play a direct positive influence on the BIM innovation performance in different degrees; acquisition has no direct effect on BIM innovation performance, but its total effect value is higher. Organizational learning has a direct positive effect on BIM innovation; digestion and knowledge have a indirect influence on BIM innovation through effecting organizational learning.
