IntroductionPaul Kay?＆ C.K..　McDaniel pointed that:?“Color is a visual phenomenon launched, reflected or caused through certain light wave by the object; it is one kind of visual essential features of human eye.”1 However, color words once been used in people’s social life would stimulus special emotional feelings and definitions in one’s heart. Color words at this moment not only posses the physical property, but own the cultural connotation and expanded meanings. The differences of Sino-west culture are the inevitable phenomenon because of the divergences among society, history, geography, nationality, literature art, religion, convention etc, which result in the divergence of color words understanding and usage between English and Chinese. Thus, the translation of color words becomes a significant research field for the experts from different countries to recognize these divergences of cultural language in order to facilitate the Sino-west understanding and enhance the communication. It has been researched for more than 20 years. Tan Ying and Ma Lei in Wuhan University of Technology take a view that:?“culture is a carrier of language, and colors can make us understand more about different languages.”2 They also carried out the literary translation with note added method in color words translation in Sino-English culture differences. What’s more, Wang Fang holds a view that:?“color words reflect Sino-English rich culture connotations and various culture spirits.”3There is no doubt that color words become one of the popular research topics for people to narrow the communication gap. Therefore, this paper would continue discuses the translation of culture- loaded color words based on the researches of the features of color words, including the definition, classifications and the structure, and then conclude two main translation strategies, for the purposes of avoiding the communicat
