Electronic Mail System fulfills transmission receiving storing and etc management of all kinds of signal by the internet connected all the world , sends the mail to all the world corner , not only send the letter but also send different kinds of information , such as archive sound graphic and image . Webmail service system is a system mainly based on network to send and receive mails , user can immediately send and receive mail through Internet Explorer , not need set the mail server and personal mail account of customer computer . We firstly generally introduce the basic theory of the electronic mail system in this thesis, make deep research of mail service system based on internet , including different kinds of network protocol and electronic mail protocol . In Chapter 3 , we expatiate the system structure of webmail service system , including the whole structure system mail platform authentication mechanism transmission network encryption security and etc. In Chapter 4 , we probe into the constitution of Xjau-Webmail service system , including the module of SMTP and IMAP configure the mail platform .
