People who have kinship or other relationships with others often address each other by appellation, which form because of one’s work, appearance, status and so on. Therefore, appellation acts an irreplaceable role in people’s language communication. This essay takes appellation of the Flower in the Mirror as the object, and uses the method of quantitative study and research to analyze the appellation in three chapters. The first chapter introduces Li Ruzhen and the Flower in the Mirror ,the research, definition and classification of Chinese appellation. And also Research significance of Appellation of the Flower in the Mirror. The second chapter introduces Research of Appellation of the Flower in the Mirror. This is the main part of paper, divided into three sections The first section makes detailed generalization of appellation in the Flower in the Mirror by position in the family, and makes specific analysis to the important words to find its characteristic. The second section makes systematic analysis and research to the social appellation of the Flower in the Mirror, which includes relation appellation, identity and occupation appellation, physiological feature appellation, talents and moral appellation, religion appellation. These social appellation represents the social, cultural and politic state at that moment.
