The resu lt show ed there ex isted signifi ant d ifferen es among fam ilies in seed ling grow th, dry matter a umu lation, leaf shape as w ell as root parameters at high and low n itrogen levels. Remarkab le redu tion in seed ling height, dry matter a umulation, leaf and root parameters w ere observed under low nitrogen stress, whereas larger proportion of photosynthesis produ tion w as allo ated into roots to promote n itrogen absorption.
