华北农学报2007, 22( 6) : 108- 113 1 1 2 2 王 敏 , 陈青云, 陈光良, 杨思泽 ( 1. , 100094; 2. , 100080) : , : , 5 6105 950 V , , 6 290~ 7 310 V ,, - ,, , CK 1252%; C , 5 6105 950 V :; ;; ; :S129;S604. 1;S636.2 :A : 1000- 7091(2007)06- 00108- 06 Effect of Atmospheric Pressure Plasma on Growth and Development of Lettuce 1 1 2 2 WANG Min , C EN Qing-yun ,C EN Guang-liang ,YANG S-i ze ( 1.College of Agro-bio Technology of ChinaAgricultural University,Beijing 100094,China; 2.Institute of Physics of ChineseAcademy of Sciences,Beijing 100080,China) Abstract: To understand better the effect of atmospheric pressure plasma on lettuce seed germination, seedling growth,yield and quality,we designed a novel atmospheric pressure plasma equipment.The lettuce seeds were treated by the equipment with different voltage from5 610 to7 310 V.The results showed that the effects of different voltageplasma treatments on seed germinationwerenot the same.Thegermination energy,germination percentage,germination index and vigor index of 5 610 and 5 950 V treatmentswere increased than the control.But the seed germination was restrained by plasma treatment from 6 290 to 7 310 V and the higher voltage,the more restrained.In addition, the activities of alpha amylasewere higher,and the conductivities of seeds were lower comparedwith the control.The fresh weight,dryweight, root volume,as well as root activity,and peroxidase activity were heightened obviously.The lettuce yield of six different voltage plasmatreatments were increased,they were 753%, 1252%, 678%,609%, 628% and 829% more than the control.The vitamin C, chlorophyll,nitrate and nitrite content of plasma treatmentswerealso improved.In our experi- ment the effects of 5 610 and 5 950 voltage
