How ever, it is also ard to control efficiently t e process by conventional met ods. A new w ay is t erefore recommended combining t e case-based reasoning ( CBR) w it conventional control met ods, i. e. t e intelligently optimal index setting by CBR. In t is w ay t e experience of flotation process can be grasped more profoundly from lots of istorical process data so as to build a case database w ic summaries typical operation conditions. T e retrieval, reuse, revision and store of t ose cases are discussed in CBR. T e int
