Obser vat ions w er e m ade in secondary deciduous w ood of Zuojia Natur e Protection reg ion of Jilin Pro vince. T he Gr eat tit and M arsh tit ar e common p erm anent resident s of secondary deciduous w ood in the region . T he heig ht , positio ns( Ho rizontal and vertical of canopy) , substrates, tr ees species, niche br eadth and niche over lap of f oraging of tw o species are very diff erent .
