With vertical joints of reinforced concrete hollow shear wall with light weight, small rigidity, good ductility, energy dissipation ability strong features, is a new type of lateral force resistant system, complied with national wall system reform and the requirements of building energy conservation are put forward. In the elastic state has great bearing capacity, lateral stiffness and good in elastic-plastic stage, good ductility, can under the earthquake action, to absorb part of the seismic energy, makes the building under earthquake is not collapsed. In this paper, a nonlinear finite element method is used to calculate and analyze the whole hollow shear wall of reinforced concrete shear wall with a vertical slit in the horizontal load deformation ,and concluded in good agreement with existing experimental results indicate that this paper built nonlinear finite element model is effective. To better understand the mechanical characteristics of slit shear wall, the better to promote the application of this paper nonlinear analysis of reinforced concrete shear walls with vertical joints under different parameters, by changing the thickness of the wall shear, axial compression ratio, shear span ratio, reinforcement ratio, with or without a combination of columns and other parameters, the establishment of eight finite element models with
