China has made great progress in economic and peoples life has been greatly improved. However, with the rapid development of economy, the issues of environmental justice in contemporary China are also increasingly prominent. They have become the important factors to restrict the development of our society and the comprehensive construction of our country. Our attempts to explore the connotation of environmental justice and our efforts to seek the answers to the major problems of environmental justice in contemporary China provide a reference for us to construct harmonious society. The environmental justice should be defined as fairness and justice that we can feel when we deal with environment issues. Although people all over the world are different in nationality, race, color, status, and occupation, the the rights and obligations about environment are equal. It should get attention and protection from legislation and law . At present, the environmental justice issues in contemporary China are mainly as follows: the environmental justice issues between the East and the west, the urban and rural areas and the rich and the poor.It is not only theoretical but also practical. This paper seeks the solutions suitable for the situation of environmental justice in china from resource, politics, economy, culture and practical situation.We think it is good to solve the problems such as developing circular economy, making policies,laws and regulations of environmental justice and safeguarding the mechanism and strengthening the propaganda of environmental justice. We believe that, with the environmental justice issues in contemporary China resolved, we will have a better vision for building a harmonious society.
