It plays a vital role in safe operation of the electrical network by us- ing ice-melting equipment to eliminate the disaster of ice-coating. But only ice-melting of the power transmission network and the distribution network are coordinated mutually, the function and the benefit of ice-melting equipment can be displayed well. The characteristics of ice-melting equipment for power distribution network are elaborated in this paper, which are distinguished between the power transmission networks.
