Direction-of-arrival（DOA）estimation is one of the important research of array signal processing ,which has found wide applications in radar, communication , sonar , seismology and other fields . During the development process of DOA estimation, high-resolution DOA estimation techniques have long been of great research interest and many significant progresses have been made in this field. This paper mainly studies the classical Multiple-signal-classification（MUSIC ）algorithm. This paper first reviewed the development process and the present situation of the spatial spectrum estimation; A more detailed introduction to the basis of the spatial spectrum estimation and to the model of DOA estimation; Studied the MUSIC algorithm of DOA estimation, given the MUSIC algorithm’s principles and steps; And through a number of computer simulation obtained the performance analysis of the MUSIC algorithm.
