Knowing that he is interested in Chinese culture, I arranged a special tour for him. On Saturday morning, we visited the Forbidden City. Tom was amazed at this splendid palace and took a great many pictures. Later in the afternoon, we went to Laoshe Teahouse to enjoy Beijing Opera. Although Tom didn’t understand the language, he showed great interest in it. ;To let Tom experience the unique Hutong culture, we had a Hutong tour on Sunday morning. Sitting in the pedicab for the first time, Tom got really excited. He was also very curious about the life of the people there, so we visited a family and were luckily invited to have lunch with them. After the delicious meal, we went shopping in Silk Street. There Tom bought many gifts and we left with great satisfaction.
